Despite its location in the ’burbs, the Mall at Chestnut Hill (199 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, 617.965.3037) keeps us coming back, thanks to a balance of big-box shops and independent boutiques that helps the shopping experience stay on the right side of cookie-cutter. And now it’s added one more name to its list of players with the opening of Kate Spade. The 1957-square-foot store carries all the simple and feminine bags, shoes, jewelry, and wallets we’ve come to expect from the queen of structure and clean lines. An added bonus: on chilly days, it’s a warmer alternative to walking to the Newbury Street store.
