La Perla at Intercontinental: Fashion Week Boston Day Two

Event-goers were a mix of devoted yogis, reps from sponsor Otis & Ahearn, attractive and well-dressed couples, and a few — and there really is no other way to phrase this — hoochie mamas. Excess cleavage, tight mini dresses, and fuck-me pumps were scattered among the otherwise classy crowd. In fact, two of these “ladies” (hanging on the arm of a pimped-out, bedazzled gentleman friend) were ousted from the front row by the host Arturo himself. Drama.

Fashion Week Friday: Achilles After-Party

Achilles was definitely the after-party to attend last night. Sorry, Rocca, but your no-DJ, wine-sipping, elbow-rubbing soiree could not have been as fun and juicy as this party, complete with drunken public make-out sessions, happily-married editors talking dirty, and gushing gals throwing themselves at the hunky Island Creek Oyster boys (who looked like hottie little surfer dudes with long hair) and their two handsome leaders.

Fashion Boston Anniversary Party: Fashion Week Boston Night One

Fashionistas, socialites, and a few fashion freaks flocked to FB’s one-year anniversary party last night at the Seaport World Trade Center. The event, filled with local scenesters, media folks, and, of course, Boston’s notorious party crashers, featured food from some of the city’s top chefs, MAC makeovers, Lux Bond & Green bauble try-ons, and a live fashion photo shoot.

Boston Fashion Week: From Fenway to the Runway

Let me just start off by saying that I am completely and totally obsessed with Yuka Okajima, wife of Red Sox pitcher and equally adorable Hideki Okajima. She is just the sweetest thing to happen to American baseball since — whatever, I don’t have an historical point of reference — let’s just say EVER. She is so incredibly adorable. We met at yesterday’s seventh-annual “From Fenway to the Runway” event, held this year at the Natick Collection. The yearly luncheon is a favorite among local socialistas and brings in a ton of cash for an incredible cause: the Red Sox Foundation.
